A Typical Scenario

ImagePrior to the Day - We meet with clients well before the event, to determine the most suitable course based on what the client wants to achieve with the Golf Day, their budget, the group size, & time allocation. We then negotiate the best possible rates for clients based on group numbers. Upon final presentation & conferring with client, we book & liase with preferred Golf Course incorporating function space, Pro Shop, hire equipment, food & beverage, carts, signage & non-golfer activities etc.

Golf Destinations is a one-stop shop with a proven track record. We source trophy & sponsorship ideas for our clients and also supply print & images for the conference registration brochure. Our Golf Director offers valued experience & time management to the conference organiser by personally scheduling teams based on handicaps. This is preferred prior to conference, however may be finalised in conjunction with conference organiser after day one of the conference. We book required hire equipment such as shoes & clubs, whilst also coordinating transfers from hotel to course & return. Golf Destinations will only use premier resort style courses offering motorised golf carts.

ImageWe coordinate signage, carts & teams to ensure smooth flow of play. Golf Destinations provides a valuable & informative link between sponsors & conference organisers, determining the optimum exposure for the sponsor and best manner to utilise sponsorship for the organiser.

On the Day - We take the time to ensure all signage is correct at the Golf Club for arrival of delegates. Golf Destinations provides coordinators to assist with the transfer of players, their clubs & upon arrival at the course, we coordinate the teams with their respective golf carts. Our Golf Director Geoff Burke provides a warm welcome to delegates, marshalling & an overview (running sheet) of the day’s program prior to play. It is important to highlight course housekeeping rules during the welcome. However, it is not all regimented and formal, for testimony to the success of Golf Destinations is Geoff’s ability to ensure delegates commence their day in good spirits.

ImageDuring Play - We provide onsite course coordination including rules official, time scheduler and general banter. Upon completion of play all scorecards are collated for presentation purposes and in addition, we will nominate special awards such as nearest the pin, longest drive, humour hole etc. Geoff then officiates as MC at the end of play Awards Presentation. Finally, Golf Destinations will coordinate return bus transfers to respective hotels along with the safe return of all sponsor signage. As an afterthought, Golf Destinations can also provide CD disks of the day’s images for the conference website, newsletter and even individual delegates.
